Belleek porcelain marks date back to the period of 1863 to 1890 in Ireland. The first Belleek mark features an Irish wolfhound craning his neck to view a castle tower, the Deveish Round Tower, Devenish Island, Lower Lough Erne. Opposite the hound is a harp. Beneath this grouping is a banner stating the name "Belleek", flanked by what appear to be Irish shamrocks. This mark appears mostly in black, but sometimes also in red, orange, brown, and green. All subsequent Belleek marks make certain additions to this original mark, as shown to the right. Subsequent periods are 1891 to 1926; 1926 to 1946; 1946 to 1955; 1955 to 1965; 1965 to 1981; and 1981 to present.
